CONCEPT | “Atlas of the Hill” is a collage artwork that portrays the invisible weight of existing in Rio de Janeiro. A Black man carries on his head symbols of memory, territory, affection and imagination: books, childhood, favela, home, sky and Brazil. Between tear and serenity, the image speaks about what we must sustain every day, without letting the world fall.

The artwork is part of the collection “Raiz Alento”, the first edition that inaugurates the Cariño Ateliê project.
