Brasil Brasil Brasil is a work about body, faith, and Carioca roots.
The figure appears shirtless, wearing flip-flops, holding a Saint George sword plant and a ball. The body emerges as territory: warm, Brazilian, intimate, crossed by desire, everyday life, and identity. There is a very Rio de Janeiro presence in it, somewhere between the beach, the street, affection, and survival.
The Saint George sword plant carries the protection and faith that live within Carioca intimacy, in the corner of the house, on the balcony, by the front door, like a silent form of shelter. The ball in the hand appears as a shield against the rush of daily life: not only football, but pause, childhood, breath, and permanence.
The flip-flops bring the work back to the ground of real Brazil. And the repetition BRASIL BRASIL BRASIL echoes like an anthem, a mantra, and an affection: body, heat, faith, and memory pulsing on the same paper.
