CONCEPT | “Where the Future Is Born” is a collage made with digital portraits that investigates the place where dreams begin: the imagination of a child. In Brazil, especially in the outskirts and favelas, dreaming has never been only fantasy: it is also a form of resistance. The artwork emerges from the memory of a childhood that learned to desire what often seemed distant. Between favela landscapes, natural symbols and cosmic elements, the image reveals an inner universe where faith, imagination and future coexist. From the child’s head a city is born, a possible world, a tomorrow still under construction. In the Brazilian imagination, there is a deep belief that life can flourish even in the most unlikely terrains. “Where the Future Is Born” speaks precisely about this invisible territory: the place where the child continues to dream, even when the world insists on saying otherwise.
